The Top 3 Movies Of A Metal Roof Supplier

Metal Master Shop movie set productionSo everyone has their own types of movies they like… this metal roof supplier is no different!. I know my top 3 will not be everyone’s top 3 movies, but this blog post was sparked by a great dinner conversation the other night.

I thought a lot about my top 3 and I think most of them just go back to what I grew up with so some may not even be movies you have heard of.

#1: Forrest Gump

The movie Forrest Gump was made in 1994 and based off a novel by Winston Groom. Although that is where the similarity ends. The movie strayed far from the book.

The movie depicts the life of Forrest Gump. A poor slow witted southern boy who inexplicably gets a dealt a great hand in life.

He is present at numerous major events in history and winds up a millionaire. He takes quite a few other slow witted people with him along his journey.

Most notably is Bubba, his best friend in the whole world and closest companion during his trip to the Vietnam war. There is a restaurant chain based off this plot of the movie as well. Perhaps you’ve seen a Bubba Gump Restaurant near you?

What makes this a great movie for me is Forrest himself. He is such a great person that you can’t help but root for him in every crazy situation he is thrown into.

#2: The Goonies

I’m going really old school for this one. The Goonies. The movie we all watched 16,457 times growing up.

Released in 1985 this is a true treasure hunt movie for our generation.

A group of kids finds an old map in the attic and begin looking for the treasure to save their houses from the big bad land developers.

Sparked with lots of 80’s humor this movie still takes me back to my childhood today.

What makes this movie in my top 3 is the fact that my kids watch and love this movie today. That says a lot about how great this movie is. Other generations will love it as much as we do to.

#3: Avatar

Action, adventure, sci-fi, and all leading up to a war. This movie resonates at the very core of every person’s being. The need to defend your home.

Avatar was released in 2009 to rave reviews. I am normally not one to jump on a bandwagon, but this movie would make anyone want to jump on it.

This is the story of a paraplegic war vet recruited for a special assignment to infiltrate an alien race on a planet rich in a new mineral that humans desperately want. I think this new mineral would be an awesome addition to our metal roofs!

The story itself is so reminiscent of the Native American’s and how they were invaded by outsiders wanting what they had. It gives me goosebumps still just thinking about it.

I saw this in 3D in the theaters and I have to say it is the only movie that was ever worth seeing in 3D! It was absolutely stunning.

One of the coolest things about this movie is that it was originally supposed to be made in 1995 and released by 1999 by director James Cameron. But he pulled back on this project knowing the technology for how he wanted this film to look was not there yet but would be.

I’m glad he waited to make this movie because in 1999 this movie would have been awful. The beauty of the imagery of this movie is really what makes it.

How About You?

So those are my top 3. There were many movies I agonized over not including but at the end of the day I’m happy with my list.

I realize this isn’t the typical blog post you’d see from a Miami metal roof supplier, but my question now is, what is your top 3? You will understand how hard it is narrowing it down to just a few of them!
